Blake Shelton: Oklahoma Star
Documentary • NR • Directed by: Danielle Winter • 50 minutes
Blake Shelton is one of the biggest country stars the world has ever seen. Taking inspiration from some of the genre’s greatest artists like Willy Nelson and Tim McGraw, Blake knew that his destiny was in music and would stop at nothing to achieve his dreams. In 2001, Blake was terrified he was going to be a one-hit wonder. His debut single "Austin" topped country radio charts for five consecutive weeks. He was 25 years old, seven years into his Nashville run and convinced that such staggering early success would be the height of his career. However, Austin turned out to be a career establishing hit, and he has managed to maintain his status as one of the most popular country artists of all time, releasing over 10 albums by 2021.
