The Groomsmen

Comedy • R • Directed by: Edward Burns • 98 minutes

Set in suburban New York, PAULIE (Edward Burns) is panicking the week before his wedding to his pregnant girlfriend SUE (Brittany Murphy). The prospect of fatherhood and responsibility is daunting, a theme that runs through this story of men confronting change in their lives. Each of Paulie’s groomsmen is also dealing with individual issues brought on by the coming wedding. Paulie’s brother JIMBO (Donal Logue) is having a hard time processing his infertility, his COUSIN MIKE (Jay Mohr) is obsessed with an ex-girlfriend, while his old friend TC (John Leguizamo), who left town mysteriously eight years earlier, reluctantly admits his homosexuality to his friends. And DEZ (Matthew Lillard), the only married father among the bunch, wants to relive his glory days by getting their high school band back together. THE GROOMSMEN is a poignant, hysterical story of men in their 30’s struggling to grow up.
